Sean Denmark (that's me, but I'm pretending to be someone else describing me) was born and raised in rural Alabama.


He received a master's in English Renaissance literature from the University of Alabama and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon. After teaching in New York City's public schools for a number of years, he then earned an MFA in creative writing at NYU.



Now he lives in Atlanta, where he teaches immigrants English.
